VOLUNTEERS
S.H.I.P Volunteers are a vital part of S.H.I.P. and are at the heart of what we do.
Volunteers support our children and young people on a 1:1 or small group basis at both youth clubs and days out. This not only allows them to develop relationships with the young people they support, but also allows them to develop friendships with other volunteers. Their role is incredibly rewarding whilst providing them with skills for leadership and future careers. Volunteers will receive payment to cover their expenses when they attend the youth clubs or day outs, and are fully supported by our trained and experienced Play Leaders during their time with S.H.I.P.
We have been
recognised as a
Volunteer
Friendly
organisation.
Take a look at what our volunteers have been up to!
Our volunteers have the opportunity to develop a vast range of skills whilst having as much fun as the children and young people they support!
Many volunteers use their volunteering opportunity at S.H.I.P as part of their Duke of Edinburgh Award. We also support volunteers through Saltire Awards.
We value our volunteers and all that they do for us. If you would like to become a volunteer or find out more information, please get in touch via email by clicking here!
